My creative soul…
Design has always had a very special place in my heart and I am privileged to be where I am today. I have always encouraged myself and others to be authentic and true to oneself, because individuality is what makes life interesting. This goes for design as well. I believe it is important for designs to represent identity, culture, interests, stories and anything else people imagine. Design isn’t just about how a space looks, its about how the space affects and influences each individual. Designs should be full of stories for all of those creative and unique souls.
My name is Macy Zielke and I was born and raised in La Crosse, WI. My lifelong goal is to find my Ikigai, which is a Japanese philosophy about a feeling of purpose. Finding your Ikigai is the perfect balance of what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. So far, I believe my Ikigai is interior design, but only time will tell if that is true.
I am looking for an entry level job in residential design while also being open to commercial opportunities. Eventually I would like to start my own design business someday, but first I need to gain experience from experts in the field.
