Okafor’s Bungalow

This project is a residential bungalow designed for Grace Okafor, a 55-year-old client with multiple sclerosis who lives with her son. The goal was to create a home that supports both independence and daily comfort while still feeling warm and inviting. A major focus was designing for wheelchair accessibility, including features like roll-under sinks, an accessible shower, and ergonomic furniture. The biggest challenge was the kitchen, where I had to carefully work through measurements and clearances to meet ADA needs while keeping the space functional and cohesive.
